Animation in the form of motion design is a modern method of storytelling (that is rapidly growing in popularity) that communicates in ways that traditional video might not always be able to. Whatever form motion design takes on, animation offers limitless creativity to implement and communicate visual ideas and stories.

And our team at fuze32 are big fans of motion graphic design. And it’s not only because they look cool and are impressive. We love them because they also hold a unique, powerful ability to communicate and convey emotion. We all know how popular video is, and motion design offers a creative twist on this medium, blending quality animated visuals with audio to create a captivating and engaging piece of content that helps share one’s brand story, message, and voice all in one concise package.

What are Motion Graphics?

A motion graphic is the media industry’s term and definition for animated video. These animated videos can come in the form of 2D animations, 3D renderings, or GIFS. They may also include audio, voiceover, or sound effects to pair with visuals.

Should You Incorporate Motion Graphics into Your Marketing Plan?

It goes without saying that every business and organization requires its own, custom marketing plan with individual strategies to meet their unique needs. And yes, not every business has a specific need to incorporate motion graphic content or is ready to do so quite yet. And that is okay! But if you are considering or think you might be ready to dip your toes into this medium, it is the perfect opportunity to take your brand’s visual quality appeal to the next level, all while connecting with and establishing legitimacy with your audience. To put it frankly, motion graphics have the ability to convey emotion and tell a story in a way that no other visual medium can.

So, what are some ways you can incorporate motion graphics into your marketing plan? Here are just a few ideas to start out:

  • Animated Logos: Designers can take your logo art files and create a short animated version to include in future, various video purposes.

  • Motion Display Ads: You may be able to visualize in your head what the average display ad could look like. Adding in motion design to your display ads is a fantastic way to make display ads stand out and make them much more visually appealing to audiences.

  • Motion Graphic Videos: This is a longer-form option compared to the previous two types of motion design mentioned. This version can look different depending on the video, but typically these are longer animated videos that tell a little more detailed of a story. They can be housed on a business’s website, or be used as a video advertisement, for example.

Motion design is a highly creative way to communicate your brand to your audience that can take on many different forms. We’ve seen many of our clients take advantage of this modern trend in visual media and have seen great success in doing so.
